I love to bake. I think we have already established that. Christmas cookies are my awards season. My end all be all baking extravaganza. I make over 20 different varieties. 300 cookies in total. I like to think that all of my cookies are mouth watering delicious and crave worthy, but honestly, the cookies I am asked for most is my version of the kitchen sink cookie.
Kitchen sink cookies are exactly what they sound like. You take a chocolate chip cookie batter and you throw in anything your heart desires. I have made these cookies with potato chips and pretzels, crispy cereal and even chunks of caramel. You can not go wrong.
When I make these cookies for Christmas I stick to more traditional mix-ins. Chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, toffee pieces, Christmas coated chocolate candies, and butterscotch chips.
It is a winner.
This batter is thick! You are going to want to drag out an elecric mixer here.
I get at least 30 1 inch cookies from this batter so its worth the effort.
