There is nothing wrong with brownies from a box. They can be delicious! That said, when I get out all the ingredients to make a batch of scratch brownies, I make extra mix to keep in my pantry.
The beautiful part of making and storing your own brownie mix is that it is ready for adaptations. Gluten Free Flour? Sure. Chocolate Chips and Walnuts? You got it! Chilli Powder? Um…ok.
The next time you pull out your baking supplies, whip up some of this brownie mix. It will last a year in a mason jar ( but who let’s brownie mix sit around for a year?)Print
