This chocolate peanut butter pretzel freezer pie may well be my MOST requested blog post. This pie is so good and really easy to make.
The crust is an oreo base. I just purchased an oreo crust at the store but you can make one by crushing oreos and then freezing the crust for about 30 minutes before you add your pie filling.
Next up I made a peanut butter filling by combining smooth peanut butter with cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl I beat heavy cream until soft peaks formed. I added the whipped cream to the peanut butter mixture one cup at a time until the filling became light and fluffy.
I added the filling to the oreo pie crust and set it in the freezer for 20 minutes.
While the pie started to set in the freezer I made the topping. The topping is where this dessert goes into another territory of delicious. Chocolate chips and heavy cream melted in the microwave. That’s it. Smooth melted chocolate gets poured over the smooth peanut butter pie mixture. I mean…….it’s just so good.
When then the chocolate ganache is ready I pour it over the frozen pie. Then I added chopped up peanut butter cups and pretzels to the top before the ganache set.
Back into the freezer for another 30 minutes and you have yourself a gorgeous delicious no-bake dessert!Print
